Jacksonville–The Jacksonville Jaguars didn’t just host the Cleveland Browns at EverBank Stadium today, they made a statement to the league. With an arsenal of capable receivers and running backs, they landed four touchdowns, two field goals and a final score of 34-10.
Thirteen players, including QB Trevor Lawrence, contributed to the Jags’ total yards. WR Parker Washington topped the leaderboard with five receptions for 83 yards and one touchdown. RB Bhayshul Tuten had 15 carries for 66 yards and receivers Jacobi Meyers, Brenton Strange and Josh Cameron had the remaining touchdowns.
Lawrence earned a 150.6 passer rating with no interceptions. He completed 18 of 23 attempts for 234 yards and lost 11 yards after one sack.
The defense also had a day with five sacks, eight QB hits and six tackles for loss. DE Josh Hines-Allen recovered a fumble off Browns WR KC Concepcion, which led to a Jaguars score on the next drive.
The team had a total of four penalties for 25 yards, compared to the Browns’ 11 for 75.
Next week, the Jaguars take on the Denver Broncos on the road.
